Deputy Speaker Raghu Rama Krishna Raju reportedly escaped a physical attack due to the timely intervention of police personnel present during the Srirama Navami celebrations at Pedda Peta in Akiveedu mandal of West Godavari district on Friday.Locals in Pedda Peta are divided in two groups over an old Ramalayam issue. After Mr. Raghu Rama Krishna, who represents Undi Assembly constituency, recently proposed its renovation, tensions built further.
